The Songster, Part 2

The Songster, Part 2 is my ever-expanding island of misfit songs. I write constantly and in too many styles for practical consumption for the general public. This is a collection of the best of the rest and will be added to every now and again for the rest of my life. Most of the tracks are homemade and ignorant of all the good and bad rules of recording. I welcome those who don't mind. It's important to me that those who would give these songs a shot can. By the time I'm done with it, it could be quite a collection. Who knows?

I'm currently on the 2nd edition. Here's the link:

Now what exactly is a songster? I'm so glad you asked:

Isn't it interesting when it says, "There is a growing view among scholars[5] that the distinction made by experts such as Alan Lomax between "deep" blues singers and "songsters" is an artificial one, and that in fact most of the leading archetypal blues artists, including Robert Johnson and Muddy Waters, performed a wide variety of music in public, but recorded only that proportion of their material which was seen by their producers as original or innovative"? So it goes.

Be somebody.
